Hamas Leader Ismail Haniyeh Killed in Tehran, Iran

Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh was reported dead on Wednesday (July 31) in Tehran, Iran, where he was staying.

The day before his death, Haniyeh had met with Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian.

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) stated that the attack occurred at dawn on Wednesday (July 31) and is currently under investigation. The IRGC expressed deep condolences over Haniyeh’s death, as reported by Iran International.

Meanwhile, Hamas announced that Haniyeh was killed in an attack by “Israeli” agents at his accommodation in Tehran.
